I have been so busy lately that I haven’t been on the blog for ages….time is just getting away with us this year.  Week 5 already coming up.  Almost half way through this term and then we really start the countdown to Graduation.Our toy family is growing with the addition of Cat, Scruff, Pablo and Kate’s pink cat.  Here’s a cute picture of them all together.  The only one missing is Billy!!!

Speeches

Congratulations to EVERYONE for the wonderful speeches.  I was so impressed with every single person and the effort you all went to write and present your own speeches.  The standard was very high indeed and it was incredibly difficult to choose the semi finalists.  Well done to Julia, Kate, Benjamin and Mia for reaching the school finals.

Out Integrrated Learning Topic

Communication is our theme for this term.  We will be exploring how China communicates its culture to the world.  We have started already by looking at iconic images that we associate with China and we have read a journal article about a young NZ Chinese girl who went back to China for a while.  Please check out the pages section for the Inquiry Project we are going to start this week.

Wednesday  -  Chamber Choir out for the morning

Thursday - Winter Sports Day

Friday - APPA Choir out for morning

maths -  On Tuesday we will start a unit of owrk on decimals, fractions and percentages
